If the E71 and E72 smart phones impresses you then you will surely fall for the new Nokia E5 as well. From the outset this device is big on durability with its sleek fingerprint resistant plastic body and stainless steel battery cover door. At the front is a 2.36-inches 320×240-pixels resolution TFT display screen followed by a full QWERTY  keyboard. Surprisingly enough the space-key can also be used to trigger the camera’s LED which may come in as a handy flash light. The D-Pad built is robust to handle the day-in day-out text sessions which makes it a pleasure in spite of the relatively small size of the buttons.

What’s a phone these days without a camera??….well as for the E5 you will have that 5MP 2592 x 1944 pixels resolution picture but there isn’t an auto focus, however you have 3x Digital Zoom, Flash Modes, Capture Modes & Scene Modes.

Power is generated by the ARM11 family of processors at speeds of up to 600 MHz with the only drawback being the 250MB internal memory which may not be enough for running a video. But there is ample room for up to 32GB of memory via card expansion slot located just under the battery of this phone.

The network capability of this device spreads across 2G GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz and 3G HSDPA of either 900 / 1900 / 2100 or 850 / 900 / 210 MHz. High speed WiFi internet browsing is achieved at HSDPA 10.2 Mbps.Whiles A-GPS connect seamlessly with together with the newly renamed Ovi Maps 3.0.

With everyone balking about Android and iPhone operating system Nokia didn’t budge from it well developed and stable Symbian™  S60 technology which it now incorporates around the today’s social networking enterprise such as Facebook, Friendster, YouTube client, HI5, MySpace, and Nokia chat.
